Antique Pianos/Lindeman and Sons Upright Piano

Question
Hello and thank you for reading my question. I recently acquired a Lindeman and Sons Upright Piano, which bears the serial number 124960. It also has the name W.C. DE FOREEST and Son written on the key cover. My research has told me that it is circa 1915-1930, but I would love to know the exact year it was produced. I would also enjoy knowing any other information you can tell me about the piano. The action inside works great, and it is nearly in tune. Some ivory is missing from the keytops, most leather damper straps are broken, and it has minor scratches. Do you think it would be worth restoring? If you could tell me the approximate values as is and after restoring I would appreciate it. What I would like to do is restore it myself and keep it, as I think it will be more valuable to me than to someone else. But if this is not so please let me know.

Thank you so much for any information,
David

Answer
Hi David,

Thank you for contacting us. Your piano was manufactured in 1912. Unless the piano has sentimental value to you and your family, it's monetary value would not qualify it for restoration. If you are interested in finding out more about restoration, please feel free to call us at 888-587-4266.

Sincerely,

Todd Lindeblad
