Antique Safes/York Safe And Lock Safe compartments

Question
I have a York safe and Lock safe that was used as a company safe for my great gradfathers company given to me when he passed.The keys with the safe fit small compartments ( 3 drawers and 1 door) within the safe. But there is an extra key on the same key ring with York Safe & Lock stamped on it and a number. My question is are there any hidden compartments in these safes you have heard of?

Some of the larger safes had hidden compartments, but they are fairly unusual.  I haven't seen them in Yorks, but that doesn't mean that they weren't available.
Generally though, I would suspect that there may be a missing drawer rather than the safe having a hidden compartment.  The key may have gone to something else not associated with the safe, also.
