Question
QUESTION: I bought a diebold safe at a sale.  It was open but I have no combination for it.  How do I go about getting the combination?  Thank you.

ANSWER: Gary,

You indicated, the safe "WAS" open.  Does this mean that you have locked it up and you don't have a combo?

Look in your yellow pages under "safes & vaults" to find the nearest safe company in your area.  Contact them and have a safe technician open your safe, afterwards they can set a combination for you.

If your safe is still open, "DON"T CLOSE THE DOOR"!

Contact your safe company to have them set a new combination for you.  I would also recommend that they service the safe at the same time to ensure years of satisfactory service.

QUESTION: The safe is still open and the combination works are out of it.The pins are wore about three fourths of the way through.  Is it possible to get new works for it?  I don't have the combination for it.  Thanks so much for your prompt reply to my other question.

Answer
Gary,

Diebold does have many parts still available, however they have recently revised their parts catolog and have done away with many of the older parts.  They consider these safes obsolete and recommend replacing them.

I will need to know what model that you have in order to put a parts list together, if they are still available.

Send me pictures of the door of the safe and of the lock works, to my email address.
