Antique Safes/Parts for a Mosler double door safe #4160A

Question
I am looking for handles for this safe and a couple of screws cups and springs for the fire door metal inner liner.

Answer
Dean,

As Mosler went bankrupt, 8 years ago, and even then didn't have obsolete parts available, your options are limited.

You can continue to look for older parts that someone may have stripped from a "junker" safe, or have new parts fabricated.

If you have samples of the types of hinge caps (acorns) that you need, I can look through my collection to see if I have any.  Don't plan on getting a full set though.  The other option would be to take the sample to a machinist and have a complete set of new acorns made for your safe.

I'm not sure what spring you are refering to, but again if you have a sample of what you need, I can have one fabricated.  A single spring will cost you around $50-$100 to have made.

Handles are similar, if you have a sample of what you need, you could have a machinist make replacements for you.

Samples which are broken will need all of the pieces in order to accurately make a copy.  If no sample exists, you will need to make a drawing, with exact measurements to have the parts made.  In mistakes you make in your measurements, will be duplicated into the parts made.

Overall, to have the items made that you are requesting, will probably cost you around $700 to $1000, conservatively.

Send me pictures of what you need and I can look around to see if I have any replacement parts, which may safe you some dollars.
