Antique Safes/Floor Safe Cap "acorn"

Question
I have a small (15 x 24") floor safe that is missing the hinge caps (acorns).  Do you know where they can be purchased, either original or reproduction.

The majority of the companies that used acorns on their hinges have all gone out of business.  As they made their own acorns there is also no where to purchase replacements.  If you want a reproduction, you have a couple of choices.
1.  I have a box of old acorns that I can try to match to yours - no guarantee on quantity or quality, or that I'll even have a match.  Cost  $25-$75
2.  Have a machinist fabricate new ones to match.  I would recommend that you replace them all at the safe time so that they match.  Options include polished stainless steel or plated brass or steel.  Nickel plating was a standard.  Cost $75-$125 per acorn

If you would like me to look through my box, send me a photo of your acorn with a ruler in the back ground for size comparison.  Also if you don't know the manufacture of the safe, send me some photos of it.
