Antique Safes/mosler jewlers safe

Question
I hope you can help me as I am in a delima, I have an antique mosler floor safe. It has sargent & Greenleay Rochester NY on the Dial. My safe has always opened. However I can no longer open the safe. I have forgotten with age how many turns left or right and the amounts inbetween the three combinations. I have the combination written down but not the directions. It has two exterior doors both with handles, and two interior doors one has a key to unlock it. The right handle has the number 29092 stamped on it. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Mosler used a number of different locks over the years. As you have indicated that you have three numbers in your combination, I'll provide you with the standard dialing sequence that was used by the majority of the locks in use on the Mosler safes.
4 times left to the first number,
3 times right to the second number,
2 times left to the third number,
1 time right, slowly until the dial stops.
Note: Left is counter clockwise, right is clockwise. Don't count the revolutions, count the individual number as it arrives at the index mark.
If this still doesn't work, you may have a service issue which will require having a safe technician check out your safe.
