Antique Safes/yale day gate with bell

Question
Thanks for taking my question. I have a day gate we salvaged from a security first national bank. I think the bank was built in the mid fifties. The bell was not working so i took it to the local lock shop. they could not repair it and in the proses they lost some of the parts. do you know where i might find parts or a complete lock?

I'm not sure what you are requesting?  I don't know what "bell" you are refering to.

Yale was a lock manufacture, I'm not sure if they manufactured your "bell" or not, but I doubt that they still make it.  As locks have changed drastically over the last 20 years, you probably won't find any parts for your lock.  You may have to have something else "retrofited" onto the day gate in the original locks place.

What is the lockshop going to do to reimburse you for this loss?
