Question
THE PAPER LABEL ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR ON MY SAMUEL WITHERS SAFE IS TATTY,AND VERY WORN AS THE INSIDE HAS BEEN HAND PAINTED SEVERAL TIMES,I'VE SANDBLASTED AND POWDERCOATED THE SAFE,POLISHED THE BRASS HANDLES .THE LAST TOUCH WOULD BE TO GET A NEW PAPER LABEL.
I REALIZE THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE BUT CAN A GOOD PICTURE OR PDF TEMPLATE BE FOUND SO I COULD MAKE MY OWN AND STICK ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR.

MANY THANKS AGAIN
BARRY

Answer
Barry,

Well you live in the right area to look for these labels.  The Withers Safes were made in West Bromwich, England up until at least the mid 1970's, so you may be able to find someone with a similar safe thatyou can get a photo of to create a jpg or pdf file of, to recreate.

You might also check out the following web page, which has examples of some of the advertisments for Withers safes.  Jim Evans died a couple of years ago, but Frank Sharman is still looking after the gazetteer, and may have what you are looking for, or where to find it.  frank.sharman@blueyonder.co.uk
