Question
Hi Terry,

I am opening a restaurant in Boston and it is located in an old bank.  There is a vault door that is 3'X 7'X 14" thick.  I would like to keep the vault as I am going to put a table for 8 inside, but I want to remove the door and it seems like it is roughly 5-6 ton in weight.  Do you know of any companies in the Boston area that remove vault doors?

My personal recommendation would be to leave the vault door, as people will be more "intrigued" to have dinner in the "Vault".  I can't think of a better advertising "gimmick".

I'll give you a couple of references, I don't know what they will charge you, but to give you a reference, in our area we would be charging $6000 to $10,000 for removal and disposal of the door.
