Question
front of Hall\'s safe
front of Hall's safe
Hi Andy,

I recently obtained a larger Hall's Safe. I am looking for a estimate on the year built, and approximate weight.

The safe is 69.5" H 51" W 37" D to include hinges. The safe has a jewelers safe inside.  The serial number from main outside handles is 975??.

The safe on the back reads Hall's Standard Safe. The front and inside doors lists Cincinnati and San Francisco. The normal owner name and distributor name is absent from the safe.

I have attached one photo of the front to this site, and have sent over one dozen other photos to your business e-mail.

Any other information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Again, thank you for all your assistance, Randy

Answer
Randy,

I received your other emails and replied from the other site.  I had a few questions, and needed a couple other photos to finish answering your questions.

Based on the size of your safe, I would have to estimate the weight between 2500 to 3000 lbs.

Based on the serial number that you have provided (975xx), I would estimate that the date of manufacture was between 1880-1882.

Check your other email for the extra photos that I requested.

Andy
