Question
I have just inherited a safe that is locked and I don't have the combination to. It is manufactured by Hall's safe and lock company. How do i go abought opening this safe. Can I cut it open? I woould prefer to crack it. I live in Des Moines Iowa. Who should I contact.

You have two choices, you can try all of the possible combinations for your safe.  Their could easily be between 1,000,000 to 100,000,000 possible combos, depending on the lock.

Or you can contact a local safe company to have a safe technician open the safe for you.  Unfortunately, you don't have a lot of safe companies in your area, and I never recommend using locksmiths.  About the nearest company to you that I have a listing for is:
