Antique Safes/victor safe

Hi I have a Quatermaster strong box dated 1919 in very good condition it has a tumbler with a working combination it weighs about 110 lbs it has gold leaf lettering Q.M.C.,U.S.A what is this safe worth

First off, this is considered a "chest", NOT a safe.  These were used for transporting of valuables, (cash, documents, etc.), generally uesd by the military.   As this was apparently used by the Army Quarter Master Corps, it may have been used to transport pay for soldiers, etc.

Next item, Victor Safe & Lock Company didn't place dates of manufacturer on their equipment.   Generally they might put patent dates and/or this may be a model date, but it is NOT the date this item was made.   However, this does give us a date that it would NOT have been made prior to.  Also, as this company acquired by Remington-Rand in 1926, it would have been made prior to this date.   So date range would have been 1919-1926.   While this is NOT an antique, it is still a collectible.

In order to evaluate the chest, I will need better photos, to include detail pics of the dial, handle, hinges, lock and bolt work.   I'll try to come up with a better date of manufacturer as well as a "value".
