Antique Safes/Three old safe

Question
At our parish, we are cleaning out old office space and came upon three old safes that need to be removed. We are wondering if they could be sold as antiques. The safes are all open but we do not have the combinations. One safe has no identifying labels but the other two are as follows:
York Safe & Lock Co; York, Penna
AA-S-81 for Class B Insulated Safes
2 Hour Safe; No. 3089

Mosler Safe Co.
Factories Hamilton, Ohio
Class One Hour Fire
Fire Classification C
T-20 Tamper Resistant Door
736883

I can send photos if you need them.

Thank you for your help.

Answer
Nina,

Based on the info that you have provided so far, the safes are basically "office equipment", fire resistive safes to provide document protection from heat.   The "York" safe is a two hour fire resistive safe, and the Mosler is a one hour fire resistive safe.   Also based on the information, I would assume that the safe are probably from the late 1940's through the 1950's so they wouldn't be "antiques" - over 100 years old.   Chances are these aren't even "collectible".

While they may have some value, it won't be very much as they don't meet any current standards for fire or burglary resistance.

As far as the combinations go, as long as the safe are open, it should be a fairly simple task for a safe technician to recover or reset the combination for you.

What other questions do you have???
