Yawman and Erbe
Class T 20
Burglary safe
Combination Lock but will not close - would need fixing

Answer
Michele,

I'll start with the Globe-Wernicke safe.   They only manufactured safes from 1911 to 1917.   Basically they copied another companies safes and got caught.   After several court cases which they lost, they ceased manufacturing safes.   The safes that they copied were made by the Safe Cabinet Company.   Safes from both companies were known to contain Asbestos as an insulation media.

I'm not sure that Yawman & Erbe was an actual manufacturer of safes.   While they mainly made filing cabinets, they also sold fire resistive safes, though it appears that these were simply relabeled safes manufactured by other safe makers.   The Class "T-20" is a "Tamper resistant" ONLY, and NOT a burglary resistant safe.    They were out of business by 1930.

As far as value of these two containers, they both have extremely limited values.

Fire resistance:     $0     Neither meet ANY current standards for fire resistance.
Burglary resistance: $0     Neither is a burglary resistive safe.
Resale:          $0     Neither have any commercial or retail value,  They should not be used for overnight storage of cash, jewelry or any valuable documents.
Antique/collectible: $0     Neither have any antique or collective value.

At best they would be considered office equipment, for general purpose storage.    Basically they are little more than locking cabinets.

Sorry, I wish the news was better.
