Antique Safes/Ratner safe parts

Hi I'm doing up a old ratner safe and I'm looking for a door handle its L shaped and you pull the handle down to open the door
I wondered if you may know how I can find one
Regards Robert

Hi Robert,

Sorry, but there are very few parts for antique British safes in the US.   In general they were ONLY disbursed around the United Kingdoms!    While you can check with all of your local safe companies, I doubt many of them will have a stock of old parts.    It may actually be necessary to have one made by a machine shop.

You may also want to contact Ratner Safes to see what they can do to help you out.

Ratner Safes Pty, Ltd.
12 Longview Court Thomastown
Victoria 3074 Australia
Telephone : 03 9465 7833
Fascimile : 03 9464 0828

E-Mail :

Ratner Safes began in London in 1784, moving to Australia in 1963.

I can't guarantee that they will have any parts, but it's worth an email.

If not, you are back to plan 2 - have a new one fabricated.    Plan 1 was knocking on various safe company doors looking for one!

Hope this helps and/or gives you some direction!
