Question
QUESTION: Dear Sir,

I am 27 yrs old, male from India. I have a peculiar problem. From the very young i have been living with nervousness and anxiety. I get tense for every small issues. I work in a management consultancy firm. Even at small office meetings i get nervous to speak. If some serious discussion where people talk boldly and put their point of view, i become scared and apprehensive. I prepare well or far better than anyone else, however because of my nervousness i forget the most important points. My voice becomes shaky. Many people in my office has said me that wen they talk to me i give a petrified and apprehensive look. If my boss at work speaks in a bold tone i get nervous, mouth goes dry and voice gets shaky. The worst part is that once my ex boss yelled at me and i cried.
I have heard that people are nervous at public speaking before an audience but i have the problem in my daily life. I had a girlfriend who used to complain me about me getting tense over these matters. Ultimately she left me and moved on saying that she cant live with a person like me who looks apprehensive all the time.
I dont know what to do. I dont feel like living. Is there any thing i can do or just got to live with this problem for the rest of my life. Is there a solution. I had decided recently that i will join a toastmasters club. Will it be of any help? should i seek professional help. Please help me.

Regards

Rajesh

ANSWER: I seem to have answered this question before. But your anxiety attacks are probably due to hypoglycemia. Go on the hypoglycmeic diet: which is a low sugar diet, high protein + supplements. See:

QUESTION: Dear Doctor,

Does our diet have a connection with worrying and anxiety? I am 27 yrs male, 5feet8 inches and weigh 56 kgs. I know that i am underweight and tried many strength training in the past to gain weight but had to quit due to tight work schedule.

My diet includes both in the noon as well as in the evening white rice and yes i do not eat green vegetables in a day, for eveing snack i have 5-6 slices of white bread with cheese. During the time when i used to go gym i used to consume regularly 4 eggs but have stopped it having now, as i stopped going to gym. But i have 0.12 gallons of milk everyday (half litre). So can it be a poor diet causing anxiety?

Regards

Rajesh

Answer
Hi Rajesh,

I cant help you over the internet, because to find out what the matter is, we need to do some tests, that only a nutritional doctor, familiar with nutritional biochemistry, can do.

If you suffer from anxiety, you should go on a hypoglycemic diet at:

The Hypoglycemic Diet  at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/2011/the-hypoglycemic-diet/

There amay be allwergies involved and I suggest that you try out:

Finding your Allergies at:

Otherwise I suggest you see a Nutritional doctor.
