Question Any insights or "lists" of gear Richard uses to create his music? And what bizarre method it is he uses to generate the loops? I guess it's really a question of his "approach". It's so hard to find any info on the man...
Answer This is a difficult one to answer. There are no 'lists' that I have seen detailing the kit RDJ uses to make his music. Like any artist he will have used a whole host of different machines and techniques over his music making days. You can be certain that he uses computers a lot aswell programming his own sound software.
So in short, I don't have an answer to your question 'cos there really isn't one, sorry. I'm sure his techniques are constantly evolving, a practice so intrinsic to the creative process.
In terms of his "approach", well let's just say it's unorthodox, and very Aphex.
