Answer Hi,
I get asked similar questions about his equipment all the time. The answer being I don't have a complete list of his kit and a chronological report of their use. It's safe to say that he has owned a large number of machines some of which include the most desirable retro gear. You can expect prolific use of Roland's classic synth and drum machines, all the usual suspects. There'll also be more modern machines, rare machines, crap machines and DIY devices. He's known to have programmed his own sound generating software aswell as more recently incorporated stuff like prepared piano which can be heard on the Druqs album.
So in answer to "do I know what device made the strings on I Care Because You Do"... No, sorry :)
