i was at burning man 2005 this year, and i went to center camp late on tuesday or wednesday night, and there were two women doing interpretive dance to music that sounded amazingly like aphex twin.  

i don't know if it was the drugs or my mind or what is "real" but i looked over and saw this guy in flaming platform shoes with a furry jacket who looked a lot like aphex twin.  he told me he didn't know if it was aphex twin and that his name was freedom and he was from orlando florida.

he asked me if it was my first burn, and I said yes.

does it matter that that might not have actually been the artist aphex twin, and he was still aphex twin, somehow conjured from the music in my mind to the side of the stage?

do you know if aphex twin has attended burning man?

I'd say it was a combination of the drugs and your mind working together to produce a braindance mirage.

Err, that doesn't make a lot of sense, but... no it doesn't matter at all? :-S

I can't say for sure but I'd hazard a guess at "no".  I don't have any real reason for this other than I know that he's been doing some appearances around the UK lately.  I saw him at the Glade festival, 'twas a great weekend.
