i mailed this to the chemical brothers guy but got no answer and since you sound very resourceful.. well, here it goes:
i once heard a thecno song that to me sounded kinda the chemical brothers, later i found out that it wasn't them but i still think it was very good.
Now, the only thing i can telyou abuot it is that it has the soud of a car honking and stoping, and a voice that says "hey wait a minute" at the beginning
of it and a couple times later, the rest is just music.
the title of this tune had something to do with a taxi, and i heard it maybe two times on the radio
back at 1997 or so ... i know it's not much information but i already tried everything to find it. I hope you can help me if you ever heard it and know who the artist is, it would end years of looking for that dang song.

Maybe you could try contacting the radio station and/or DJ you think might have played it back in '97? Long shot I know but if you're desperate...
