what is dried beef? where would it be at the grocery store?
what is a great appetizer to go with Rueben sandwiches?

Dried beef is strips of beef that have been dehydrated. It is sometimes called beef jerky. Ask the deli department of your local grocery store for it. Some specialty (european) stores also have it in hars.
I'm not aware of any appetizer that would go with a reuben sandwich. Could you possibly mean a side dish or accompaniment? If so, I would suggest soup, french fries or potato salad. And of course, the pickle.
