dear sister, of course you must get married the islamic way by a imam it is not exceptable in our religion to marry through the justise of the peace this is only for some one who does not have a religion. as you are a muslim now allhumdullah you must marry the islamic way , inshallah allah will forgive you for the past, but i honestly carnt understand why you didnt marry the islamic way, i have a lot of friends whos husbands are only mulsims and they are cristians but they still married the muslim way, may allah forgive you both. ameen. please repend to allah ask for forgiveness and go and marry the islamic way asap. and allah knows best.
