Arab Culture/Gifts

Question
hi, I have two wonderful Arabic doctors that have done more for me in two months than all the American doctors I have seen. I want to give them a thank you card and a gift. I know one likes Chocolate but I was not sure if it is appropriate for me to give him this gift. The other doctor I have no idea about. Any ideas on something that may be appropriate for each. These two doctors saved my life and my sanity, so I really want to give them something in return.

Answer
Melody, a gift card is always a good idea. Chocolate is fine as a gift as really anything would be so long as its not personal. Does he like a specific kind of coffee or tea? Maybe he has a sweet tooth or likes something to eat or snack on as well. His receptionist should know his preferences. I hope this helps.
