Sir, what would an Arab son call his father?  I've come across the name Abu, but am not certain that's correct.  Thank you for your time.

Hi Dale,
Arab son usually called his father as "Abi", which means "My Father" or "Dad". Also some children use the word "Baba" instead of "Abi".

The word "Abu" which you have mentioned means "The father of", for example, if my older son called "Ahmed", people will call me "Abu Ahmed".
