Arab Culture/Are you ready?

Question
Please could you translate "Are you ready?" into Arabic.
For instance, a husband and wife are going out, and it is getting late, so the husband asks his wife, "Are you ready?"

Answer
In standard Arabic, the sentence "Are you ready?" will be said as: "HAL ANTI JAHIZAH?"

This is if we are asking a femal, but if the question is to male, for instance, the wife is asking her husband, then the sentence will be: "HAL ANTA JAHIZ?"

- "HAL"=Are
- "ANTI" for female & "ANTA" for male=You
- "JAHIZAH" for female & "JAHIZ" for male=ready
