Question
My daughter wants a tattoo with grandfather in arabic script (he was born in and loved Egypt) but I am having problems finding it.  Would be grateful for your expertise.  Thank you

Answer
Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your question...the word you are looking for is jid or gid if you want to pronounce it like an Egyptian.
It would make more sense though if your daughter had the tattoo with 'my grandfather' jidy or gidy. It would be written like this جدي

Hope that answers your question
