Question
Hi, I'm looking for an English definition for the Arabic words 'makhzan', 'Ihmeeni' and 'Baghayir'. Please could you also tell me if the spelling of these words is correct?
Kind regards, Ben

Answer
Hi Ben..

''Makhzan'' is a storeroom or stowage.
''Ihmeeni'' is not clear enough, I think its due to the spelling. The nearest thing it sounds like is ''Yehemmni'' which means '' it concerns me''.
Same thing with the next word the nearest thing it sounds like is ''Beghayir'' which means ''without''.

I can answer almost everything, from classical Arabic to all major dialects. However North-African dialects -except Egyptian- might get a bit difficult, and sometimes not understandable enough. Questions about Arab culture are welcomed as well.

Experience

I am a native speaker of the language, particularly interested in classical Arabic. Have practiced and self-studied Arabic for a long time.
