Question
sir,
for my house i chosed name as dar al akhtar (meaning house of stars) but i m not sure about the spelling and meaning, is it the same or darul aktar . please suggest me the correct name and meaning

Answer
Selam Mohammed..
Unfortunately the meaning is not right. Dar Al-Akhtar means (House of Danger).
The right meaning for (House of Stars) as you wish it to be, is: ''Dar Al-Nojoum''.
Najm means one star, Nojoum means stars, because the plural of the word Najm is irregular.

Besides, there is not quite a right spelling when you use the latin alphabet to write Arabic. When using the latin alphabet people try to spell the arabic words as they sound, and since the sound of a particular word may be different from one person to the other the spelling too tends to be in different way. Take the name Mohammed, people spell it Muhammed, Mouhammed, Mohamed etc.
