Answer
Hi Dawlat
This is a real lovely and interesting question
here is a web address of the famous late star of Egyptian movies in 20th century
HER NAME IS DAWLAT ABYAD
http://www.mashyhealth.com/indexhealth.pl/dawlt_abyad
Dawlat is a royal female name of turkish and persian origin
for example:
Dawlah: Wealth, authority of state
In Arabic we still use the term Dawlah for example:
Dawlat Al Kuwait = State of Kuwait
The State = Al Dawlat
Dawlat Khatoon: She was from a ruling family.
I have the impression that it is even older from Indian and Tataric Origin from the time of Gankiz Khan
Anyway Dawlat is a female name which was very common in wealthy egyptian families in 19th and 20th century as documented by old egyptian movies
I already have a neighbour a wealthy noble old lady named Dawlat like you.
this name is rarely used in 21 century
Dawlat as a male name is very very rare and in Turkey and Persian only.
For Example another name Nasrat is a male name in Arabic meaning Victory but used as a female name in pakistani like Nasrat Boto the old widow of Zulfaqar Ali Boto.
Best Regards
Pleased to meet you Dawlat Hanem
