Question
Dear Samy Wahib,

I am enrolled in an Islamic Sunday school and am learning about the Quran. Our teacher gave us an assignment to write an essay on Ayat-ul-Birr Surah 2:177 and its meaning. I was reading the English translation to this and came across the words " It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces towards east or west". I am not exactly sure what this means. If you could please explain this, I would really appreciate it.
Thank You so Much,
Erum

Answer
It means not to look for strange philosophies everywhere about divine facts ..... But just to believe in simple faith.
