About Imad Ajam Expertise I can answer most questions about Arabic cultures, traditions, language and society. I can also provide help with translating from Arabic to English or vice versa.
Experience I am an Arab, but was raised and educated in the U.K. I am fluent in both Arabic and English.
Following the explanation you kindly gave me earlier, is it possible for you to write me the word/expression "Mostakbal" in the actual arabic form?
Thank you for ur attention, best regards,
Tiago

Hi Imad,
I mean as a will I'll have to do something into the future.
Here is a sentence that could be fitting:
"In the future I'll have the will (to do this...)"
Thanks for your time Imad, best Regards,
Tiago
I was wondering if you could translate this expression into arabic:
"Future Will"
I've been trying to get a translation off the web but I havent been able to reach a decisive one!
Thank you, best regards,
Tiago

Dear Tiago,
Hi, and thanks for your question. However, I'm going to need more info from you. What exactly do you mean by the phrase "future Will", do you mean the future tense of the verb will? Or that the "future will" be something. Please explain the phrase more clearly, and if possible write it in context in a sentence.
Thanks
Answer -
Ok, Thanks Tiago, the phrase is clear now. Arabic doesn't have a literal translation of "will", the closest is "ability"(Kodra), or "intention"(neyah). The closest translation of those would be:
Fil Mostakbal Sawfa Akoon Kader Ala
----------------------------------------------------------
Fil (in the)
Fil Mostakbal Sawafa Takoon Laday Alneyah Lee( in future i will have the intention to)
fil (in the)
mostakbal (future)
sawfa (it will)
takoon (be)
Laday (for me/i'll have)
AlNeyah (the intention)
Lee (to-prefix to a following word)
I hope that's answered your question! thanks.
Answer Hi Tiago, sure I could do that. Only the encoding on this website messes up the words(I've already tried).
To read Arabic words, you have to install "files for right to left languages" from the languages tab in regional and language settings(win xp). You must also change the "language version of non-unicode" in the advanced tab to Arabic-Saudia Arabia. Also change the encoding in the program you are using to display arabic characters to Arabic(windows-1256).
I'll put up a text file with the Arabic version of the sentences and words that you want on my website. http://www.syriapath.com/tiago.txt
