Question
what is meaning of "fatma" i know it`s a person name

Answer
Hi!

Yes, Fatma is a name. It is more commonly written and pronounced as Fatima. It was the name of one of the Prophet Muhammad's (messenger of Islam) daughters.

It actually means a woman who weans her child affectionately. It was considered an virtuous attribute of Arab women and was given in the hope that the girl would fulfill what her name meant.

Nowadays, it is given to girls mostly because it was the name of Muhammad's daughter.
