Question
Hi. I'm doing a project for school and I was wondering what kind of schools you would need to attend to become a mediator, and I was also wonder if you had to go to law school to become one, or is going to law school just highly recommended.

Answer
Brittany,

You do not have to go to any school to become a mediator.  Most mediators have some type of training, such as the American Arbitration Association.  Most mediators are either attorneys or therapists, however, it is not required.

Let me know if you have any further questions.  Good luck on your school project.

Very truly yours,
