Question I have owned a collection agency for 25 years in Idaho. Mediation is just part of the business. In our small town there are no mediators- the closest is about 40 miles. I would like, and would like to do mediation. I have asked HOW one becomes a mediator- but no one has been able to give a difinitive answer. Can you head me in the right direction?

I recommend contacting the American Arbitration Association and requesting educattion and certification to be put on their list of mediators/arbitrators.
Another avenue is the Better Business Bureau but those mediations/arbitrations usually involve automobile transactions.
