I'm planning on getting a degree in Archaeology, and furthering that to a PhD (yes, I have a back up planned, computer programming and video game design). My question is, which schools in the New Mexico/Arizona area are best suited for someone with an interest in the Mayan culture.

Hi Kym,

U of Arizona has a great program but it is focused on the South Western US.  The best way to do what you want is to take a look at the professors at each one and see who has a specialized degree in Mayan culture. I don't know who the individual profs are but that is the best way.

Then communicate with them to find out if their program can be focused on the Maya.
