Question
Hello-We found this figurine that has been in the family for many, many years and were wondering of its origin. It is made of clay. I am attaching a picture for reference. Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Sue,

It looks Mexican.  However, it is a rather unusual item.  Would you be willing to take some additional pics for me and send them to me for further evaluation?

1) As you have it now but showing the entire item.  Also for scale, place a ruler next to it so that I have some idea of how tall it is.

2) from the sides (A and B)

3) From the back.

4) Also if there are any places where it is broken, as close up as possible so that I can see the matrix ( the clay mixture) it is made of.

5) as close to the face as you can get with out it becoming blurry.

Please send this to my email at rsalier@hotmail.com
