hello,
my name is kelsie and i have been in love with history since 5th grade.I am a junior now and its time for me it be looking at colleges. what would be your recommendation for a college teaching archaeology in florida? Thanks!

Hi Kelsie,

Both FSU in Tallahasee an U of Florida at Gainsville have very good programs.  Do you also have a back up plan?  I was given advice many years ago by M. Leakey:  Get your degree in Archaeology but have a back up plan. Get a teaching certificate, minor in economics, social work, plumbing, electrical work,  something that you can "go back to" should you have difficulties finding work in the field."  I am very happy that I took her advice.
