Question
Hi My Name is Kody Shaffer. I'm a High School Junior, and i wanted to know what is better to major in for Egyptology, I was wondering if I should stick to Archaeology. Is that the way to go or is there another way?

Answer
Kody
Best to take a mix of classes as an undergrad, including archaeology, anthropology, history, geology, Arabic, etc.
Most people who become egyptologists don't specialize in that field until graduate school.  Your undergraduate years are the time to get a broad education.  That way, when you specialize in grad school, you do not lose sight of the larger context and "big issues" to which you will want to link your research when you apply for funding and write papers and books.
