sir, iam interest in a career in archeology.....i have just passed my 12th class from school in india and i was from science background....tell me and suggest ways and course that i can adopt to pursue a career in archeology

Hi Preeti,

here are some of the steps you need to take to decide which direction to go in:

1) are you interested in a particular cultural area such as ancient egypt or india?
2) you need to know why you are interested in a given cultural area
3) do you want to go to Uni in India or outside of India? There are many good Unis outside of India that may have the specilty your are looking for that may not be available in India.
4) If you are not interested in a cultural area are you interested in a given time period or span of time?
5) You indicated that you have a science background... Does this include geology, botany, biology, chemistry, engineering?
6) Do you have a backup plan?

If you can answer these questions for me, then perhaps I can provide additional direction.
