Question
stone artifact
stone artifact
These two stone artifacts were found on our family farm many years ago.  We have no idea what they are, and I can not find any photos on line that look like these.  Farm is located in Northern Indiana.  Our great granddad found many arrow heads on this farm also.  Thanks for any help.

Answer
Hi Pam
They are not stone tools.  They are bits of limestone that have been shaped by erosion.  They are probably left over from a river that ran through your property long ago.  Alternatively, it is possible Native Americans found them eye-catching and brought them there, but they owe their shape to natural forces.
