Archaeology/Trying to identify small vase

Question

My grandmother loved estate sales. She bought a pair of vases around 1960 that sat on one of her many book shelves and after owning them for the past 40 years or so, I've often wondered what their history is. They are small, about 4" tall but weighty. There are green markings, like decorative trim, as you can see in the picture. Can you help me identify where they may have come from? Or, refer me somewhere else?
Many thanks,
Kathleen

Answer
Hi Kathleen,

This is out side of my area of expertise but since you are in Florida, you have one of the most amazing museums not far from you located near Orlando.  One of the curators there is a ceramics expert and has a large collection of decorative items.  The name of the museum is the Morse Museum in Winterhaven.  They also have an amazing collection of Tiffany items as well.  Contact them for assistance.

I'm sorry I could not be of more help.
