Question
What college is best suited for Archaeology? How many years does it to become an Archaeologist?

Answer
Hi Elizabeth,

There are several very good colleges and universities for the study of Archaeology. It generally takes 4 years of study at the undergrad level in a college or university followed by a masters degree.  A masters degree will provide ample job opportunities while a PhD would make you over qualified for jobs in the "real world".

So with that out of the way, what kind of archaeology are you interested in?  The archaeology of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa the Islands of the Pacific, Australia etc....... Historic Archaeology, Pre-historic, industrial.......

There is a lot to think about.  So, if you need further assistance in figuring out the kind of archaeology you are interested in, I can point you are the best schools for that kind of archaeology.    Once your have these things in mind, get back in touch with me and I will continue to help you out.
