Ask me about materials and techniques, and about how you can get the best value for your design and construction dollar. Ask me how you can make your home a very special place. I can't, however, answer specific structural engineering questions in this forum - that's something you'll need on-site observation for.

Question Please advise on the best exterior paint to use on previously painted stucco. All companies have their gimmicks and thought you would be best to give the opinion on the best paint to use for my project. Thank you so much and G-d bless.
Answer Stephen - thanks for your question.
A good quality exterior latex paint is the appropriate coating for natural stucco. Make sure the surface is properly prepared; i.e., fix loose areas, seal cracks, and thoroughly clean the stucco.
Some manufacturers recommend a specialized "primer" for stucco; this helps, but isn't necessary.
After that it's as simple as applying the paint according the manufacturer's instructions.
Hope this helps,
