Architecture/Can you help me identify the type of architecture I have?

Question
I live in the hills out side of Managua Nicaragua and have recently bought a house with a bauhaus/modern style (I think) of Architecture, but would like an expert to give me a more exact school if possible.The house is 1700 sq.ft. no basement or antic, simple walls, arched roofs with exposed wood beams, cement exterior. All doors to the outside, 1 front door and two back doors are wood frame with large glass panes, lots of glass windows in wood frames, with screens, small ventilation windows of 7"x 7" square are found in parts of the house.A very simple large fireplace, no mantle from floor to ceiling The house was built in 1941, and designed (second hand info) by an architect from Connecticut. Any ideas?

Without a photo this is difficult to ascertain.
Since it was built in 1941 we are looking at late period Modern Movement architecture influenced by Bauhaus teaching.
The architect from Connecticut probably studied under Walter Gropius, who was the Dean of Harvard starting in 1936.  This is probably a slightly regionalized example of the Modern style as most were entirely concrete and glass with painted wood typically.  Here is a link to some images on google: http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&q=walter+gropius+architectur...
