Architecture/Roof for Deck

Question
I'm planning to install a roof to my deck, which is attached to the house.  My deck is 10X10 and is a second-story deck.  Is it possible to do so?  I also need someone that can do a drawing, so I can submit to the city to obtain a permit.  Do you know anyone that can do a drawing with lowest rate possible?  Thank you very much  for your helps.

I assume an open deck and a one story house.
You will need to beef up the foundation of the deck in order to install a roof or have the footers for the deck verified by a structural engineer to take the extra weight of the roof.  I assume also no columns for roof so you will need at least 4.  This sort of thing can be done by a reputable contractor with a minimum of drawings.  Probably will need a structural engineer's stamp but not an architect's.  I suggest obtaining services of an AIBD draftsperson in your area or just contacting several contractors who do this type of work routinely.
If you have a two story house with architectural features that must be maintained, then call an architect.  Cost should not be more than $2,000 for an architect but a contractor may simply have someone inhouse that can draw it up for you.
