Architecture/brick building ledger board

Question
I need to replace a walk up deck on a three story brick building.  How would the ledger boards be attached when there is no visible access to what lies behind the brick?  Would a few courses of brick be removed or could it be done from inside the structure with steels plates and through bolts?  Thank you.

Answer
You will need to make a structural connection between the deck material and the wood, steel, or stone frame inside the brick veneer.
Instead of tearing out some of the brick you might do something similar from the inside of brick building.
You should consult with a structural engineer to make sure the loads match the connection.
