AnswerHi KuttiVenu,
There are a number of code items that apply to bathroom size, but the answer to the appropriate size of the bathroom will depend on the exact code that is used in your jurisdiction. You can usually get an answer to your questions from the building department or development depart in the City you are located in.
There is a good diagram of different fixtures and clearances on page 50 of the building code we use in Seattle. This is the Seattle International Residential Code. It may be similar to your area (you should check).

Keep in mind, a 30x30 shower is really too small for daily use. I would look at 36x36 as minimum with 42x32 as better size (these are also standard shower base sizes if you are using one). You can also use a 36" angled shower with the toilet and the vanity on either side of the shower (perpendicular to each other). This layout will typically get you the smallest layout (around 5'-6" x 5'-6"). A rectangular bathroom might be closer to 5'x7' with a 30" tub, toilet, and very small vanity or pedestal sink. There are some very small european sinks on the market too if you need a tiny sink or a corner sink.
Good luck.
