Question
These are questions ineed answered for my project:
vacation pay-how many weeks?
bonus- what is it based on?
Retirement plan?
Health insurance/life insurance?
Thanks for  answering

Answer
Hi Daniel,

The answers will vary from firm to firm, but I will try to give you some answers, although they will be generalizations.

Re: vacation --> most firms start with 2 weeks paid vacation for full time employees. Often this increases to 3 weeks and higher as you get promoted.

Re: bonus --> this can be based on many factors including how well the firm does in a particular year, how much overtime you put in, how well you performed during the year, and how much the firm values you as part of the organization.

RE: retirement plan --> most firms will have one. Bigger firms will usually have more elaborate choices and many will offer profit sharing (which you are usually vested into over a number of years working for them).

Re: health insuranc --> most will offer this but this will vary per firm. Life insurance is something usually offered by larger firms.

Hope this helps!
