Question

Gray Hardie Board Hous
Can you tell me some designs for a garage?  The house is gray hardie board.  Some folks have suggested changing the roof line.

Hi Jane,

For your house, I would consider a garage with a gable end facing the front of the house, similar to the roof of the covered porch at the main entry. I think this will help tie in the house design to the garage design.  You may consider having the garage detached, or attached with a breezeway to the house (or enclose the breezeway to create a side entrance).  I'd probably keep the colors the same, unless you are going to repaint the entire house.
