Question
Hello , I came across a few questions previously answer by you for a high school interview and was curious to know If you immediately accepted to your major study or if you we're just accepted to the school? I have been accepted to U at Austin but was not admitted to the school of Architecture and I was wondering if you had some advice.

Hello Amber,
This is a question for a guidance counselor actually.
My guess is that the School of Architecture might not find your background suited for that field of study but the University wants you to study there and possibly in some other course work.
I would call the admissions office for the School of Architecture to see why this has happened.
I applied to IIT for architecture but was admitted only in the planning department.
I did not like that idea and stayed at A&M to finish the architecture program.
If you really wish to go into the profession of architecture, then try to audit one or two courses in the meanwhile and re-evaluate your interests.  Check the syllabus and see some of the textbooks.  Talk to some students and visit the studios.  Also make an appointment to talk to one of the entry level professors to discuss further.
